Indianapolis is the capital city of Indiana and has been nicknamed "the Crossroads of America." This is in part because it is located at the juncture of New England, the South, and the Midwest regions of the U.S. More and more, however, this nickname has come to symbolize the wealth of economic opportunity, which converge on the city.
